NEW ENGLAND FREEJACKS LOAN EX LEINSTER FORWARD TO SEAN MCNULTY TO RUNY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW YORK (May 2nd 2019) – With a number of injuries to key forwards in the pack and a late season push needed to ensure playoff position for RUNY, the blue and orange have taken New England Freejacks forward Sean McNulty on loan for the remainder of the season. The deal helps both teams as McNulty will be able to get some valuable MLR experience prior to New England’s joining next season and RUNY receive a talented utility forward who has had experience with both the Irish U20’s and Pro 14 powerhouse Leinster.
Starting his rugby out in Bahrain at the age of 10 and eventually moving on to Rockwell College in Tipperary, Ireland, McNulty brings in a wealth of international experience at what he calls “the business end of the season.” He states “I’m exited to get some MLR playing time under the belt before next season, especially here and now in the business end. I look to bring them something that’ll help get us across the line and RUNY a ring by the end of the season.”
Able to play in the back row as well as hooker, McNulty is a valuable tool to bring into the camp when versatility is a much needed commodity. We welcome you into the fold Sean and hope you enjoy your time at RUNY.
